Ristorante Pizzeria Nonna Maria in Born

Where my rating of this September is - no idea! Then there’s just another new one! We thought we'd go to an Italian for dinner one evening. Unfortunately we were misled because they are not Italians! When we ordered we were treated rudely, I was only allowed to order what was on the menu, either pizza with ham or pizza with mushrooms. Pizza with ham and mushrooms doesn't work because (statement by the waitress) "the cook would be overwhelmed with it". The pizza that came out was really bad! The sauce was sour and there were some strange spices on it. It was also limp in the middle and simply tasted bad. In retrospect, a frozen pizza from Aldi would have been better. We were no longer served, although I would have liked to have had a drink and it took forever until we could pay. I strongly advise against this restaurant!

Prices okay, Croatian and Italian food in good quality. Unfortunately only without the original Djuvec rice. (Not everyone wants fried potatoes 😉) Service also very courteous

Incredibly delicious food, super nice service !!! Good selection, individually adaptable, everything fresh and without long waiting times. Were here on the first day of our vacation and made another reservation for the last evening. No other restaurant we visited could beat the price-performance ratio 👍 Our 4-year-old son was also lovingly served and pampered :-) We will be back!

Food was delicious. Service absolutely friendly. Although sitting outside near the busy road, the location is okay. Food came promptly even when there was a lot of activity and a large number of people. To recommend!

Really good food at great prices. Nice place with inside and outside area. Very friendly staff. We really liked it very much.

Ordered pizza. One had corn even though it wasn't on the menu, and another had the entire topping on a pile in the middle of the pizza. The other pizzas were good, but I recommend checking that the pizzas are correct when ordering.

Delicious food, cozy atmosphere and friendly service. We ate in the restaurant several times and also ordered to be picked up. Every time a culinary delight. The prices are reasonable. On request, the staff can explain to us in detail where the meat comes from (local butcher) and how it is prepared. The advice about the grappa selection was also wonderful. We were here 2 times in total. The tomato mozzarella salad tasted particularly good. The tomato soup was delicious. The chicken soup was ok it wasn't as tasty as the tomato soup.

Nice service, but land waiting for the food. Maybe there is still a lack of coordination. The food itself is very good.

We got something to eat after 8 p.m. It was very, very tasty. Very friendly service and we sat comfortably. A nice ending after a nice day :)

Very friendly people, food is great, menu has a lot to offer and the prices are quite nice (especially in comparison to other restaurants in this town). Not only Italian cuisine, but also Croatian specialties 👍

We went there twice on our vacation. Pizza was delicious and the grilled meat plate was great. The boss measures really nice even under stress under corona mask measures. We had 2 small dogs with us. We were given a quiet table where our two darlings could rest. We felt very comfortable and would go back anytime !! Thank you and have fun, strength and success👍😊

Very tasty food, staff very friendly. Pleasant atmosphere. You can sit inside and outside. It is advisable to reserve a table if you want to sit outside. Very clean.

Stayed there twice for dinner and there was nothing to complain about. Pasta was delicious and the pizza was good too. Croatian food is also recommended.

We ate pizza and meat dishes on two visits to the restaurant. Pizza is good, the meat dishes could not convince of the quality, quantity or price. The presentation and seating is clean, but simple.

Our stay in Born took us to this Croatian restaurant several times in the evening. Easy to pre-order, rather rejecting in other restaurants. A little inconspicuous from the outside. The two outside areas are very pleasant. The service is friendly and courteous. The restaurant has a very good kitchen. Our preference was different fish and meat dishes. All very tasteful, well presented and extremely plentiful. We will definitely be back. Many thanks to the boss.

We only had Croatian food on our plate and were actually pleased with the taste. The innkeeper was very friendly and accommodating.

I was happy I could place my orders in english! The italian food we had was delicious... specially the "tagliatelle al pollo"! Our waiter Antonio was very friendly and our kids gad outdoor space in the garden to play! Perfect evening out :)
